In Bhagavad Gita chapter 2
verse 27 Lord Krishna preaches to Arjuna the sustaining order of life in cosmic system. One that takes birth
was not eternal and has to die one day. It can also be stated that one who dies shall also take rebirth. This
circle of life was eternal, unavoidable and inevitable... not in control of human beings! This circle of life
finally comes full circle when human beings reached stage of enlightenment and finally moksha
salvation.
When life and death in cosmic system, on planet earth was perpetual... why grieve for death
of one. Lord Krishna tells Arjuna not to grieve for anticipated death of his maternal grandfather Bhishma Pitamah
and guru Dronacharya at the hands of Pandavas. As Lord Krishna (Dharmaraja) himself was with Pandavas... question
of Kauravas winning the war was nil! In that eventuality death of Bhishma Pitamah and guru Dronacharya was expected
by Arjuna.
The Explanation:

As per Krishna, strings of life rested in hands of our soul atman, the spirit within! Our
soul atman, the spirit within (our consciousness) was the absolute master and controller of human life on
mother earth. Our soul atman, the spirit within manifested human form to work out its karma... remove dross
impurities within! It was not within capability of human body to manifest a soul atman. When our true inner
self (our consciousness within) was governing... why lament for death of one on mother
earth.
Everything in cosmic system moved as per laws of karma. As we sow so shall we
reap... nothing less or more, says law of karma. Death of human form was not sudden. It was based purely on karma
performed by human beings. Performance of good karma can prolong life but not for too long. The destined age of
human form in scriptures of Hinduism lay at hundred years. With death of human body... we never lost anything! The
closing balance of life at the time of death becomes opening balance for next manifestation.
In simple words... if the residual balance of karma at the time of death of human
body demanded that our soul atman, the spirit within manifest form of a laborer in next life... one just could not
be born a Prince! We could not expect mangoes to grow on a guava tree. In the system of god, nothing was disordered
at any stage of life as stipulated by famous physicist Stephen Hawking in his famous book "a brief history of
time". The ignorant scientist failed to realize that it was beyond capability of scientists to understand domain of
God Almighty.
In Hinduism the word Jiva (living being) stood for all 8.4 million
types of manifestations undertaken by consciousness within. Every form of insect life, every form of plant life,
every form of animal life had a soul atman within it. Numerous lifeforms not visible to naked eye also had a soul
atman, the consciousness within! The first manifestation by a soul atman in its cosmic life cycle was form of
amoeba (single cell formation). It further evolved into multi-cell formation, then insect life, plant life, animal
life and finally form of human beings. All human beings who thought only human form had a soul atman, were totally
ignorant in matters spiritual!
Science demands proofs that are not forthcoming in the field of pure spirituality.
The whole essence of spirituality was based on absolute faith. In absence of hundred percent faith in God Almighty,
one failed to unveil the underlying hidden precepts of spirituality contained in scriptures of various religions of
world! Albert Einstein was the only scientist in world in his time; who used his brain 4%. He indulged in Bhagavad
Gita to realize various abstract truths of life. Normal human beings used their brain one percent, 99% always lying
dormant!
In present times people say that normal human beings used their brain 10%. This is
a wrong perception, a folly that can only be realized when one reached stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana). As
detailed in Srimad Bhagavad Gita... life of human beings moved like the balance sheet of an accountant. The closing
balance of one life becomes opening balance for next manifestation. If we desire manifesting a better, higher form
of human life in next manifestation... our indulgence in good karma, positive karma all the time was
necessitated.
Srimad Bhagavad Gita is an allegory to explain fundamental principles of life.
Through Bhagavad Gita chapter 2 verse 27 Lord Krishna tells confirms continuity of life in cosmic system.
Reincarnation, rebirth, past life and afterlife were confirmed stations in life. After death of present body... our
soul atman, the spirit within would again manifest a new body based on residual balance of karma at the time of
death of body. Only if matching parents are not available on mother earth... our true inner self (our
consciousness) would reside in heaven or hell (Swarga and Naraka Hinduism). Both Swarga and Naraka (heaven and
hell) exist in sun.
In swarga (heaven) if the residual balance of karma was positive, and hell if
negative! Heaven (swarga) existed in core of sun where temperatures exceed millions of degrees centigrade. It was
in such high temperatures our soul atman felt comfortable. Hell (naraka) existed in the periphery of sun where
temperatures were considerably less. It was in such low temperatures our soul atman, the spirit within suffered for
eternity. No sooner matching parents become available on mother earth, the hibernating soul atman immediately
manifests a new body to start a new cycle of life on mother earth.
Reincarnation, rebirth was part of cosmic life, evolution! In absence of
reincarnation, rebirth... evolution in cosmic system was not possible! Unless system evolved, everything in cosmic
system would become stagnant... decay and die! For life to move ahead... evolution was part of cosmic system. It
was through complex process of karma and evolution... life moved ahead in cosmic life cycle! I again repeat... in
all stages of life... our soul atman, the spirit within was all the time governing. As the journey of life truly
belonged to our consciousness within... there was no reason for human beings to grieve.
Life in cosmic system moved like changing of guards at Buckingham Palace! As a
student of class one promotes to class two... our soul atman also evolved, moved ahead through different stages of
life. Ever since souls' atmans start their cosmic journey... it needs a maximum of 8.4 million manifestations to
reach stage of absolute purity. This is the stage when human beings gained enlightenment and finally salvation
moksha. Out of 8.4 million manifestations on the whole... the initial 7.3 million manifestations by a soul atman
occurred in insect, plant and animal life. In the remaining 1.1 million manifestations in human form... one was
expected to reach stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) at the earliest.
The entire gist of Bhagavad Gita, the entire teachings of Bhagavad Gita by Lord
Krishna is directed towards human beings gaining enlightenment in their lifetime. A soul atman regaining its lost
pure prime pristine primordial form forever is the ultimate goal of life in cosmic system. This becomes possible,
feasible when souls atmans for the first time manifest human form. As human form was the highest manifest stage in
cosmic life cycle, it was only through human form... souls' atmans, the spirit within reached cosmic end of life...
8.4 millionth manifestation! As a human being it becomes our duty to assist our soul atman, the spirit within to
reach cosmic end of life... stage of absolute purity forever!
By indulgence in Bhagavad Gita, by assimilating pearls of wisdom contained in
various scriptures of different religions of world... human beings try reaching stage of enlightenment and moksha
salvation in their lifetime. By grace of God Almighty, lord Krishna existed in our heart to assist us in this
spiritual journey of life all the time. To unravel hidden mysteries of spiritual path... one must follow teachings
of Lord Krishna detailed in Bhagavad Gita. Furthermore, various Upanishads of Hinduism (independent treatises) also
come to our rescue. One single document... the sacred Bhagavad Gita suffices for human beings to reach stage of
enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally moksha salvation in their lifetime.
The teachings of Bhagavad Gita were not a proprietary of Hinduism. Any human being
world over... belonging to any religion, faith or belief can ceremoniously follow teachings contained in Bhagavad
Gita to reach cosmic end of life... 8.4 millionth manifestation in ones lifetime! I started in search of God six
years of age. By 13, my simple desire, wish turned to firm conviction! In this very life, come whatever may I shall
see and meet god! 25 years of yoga meditation... I finally landed self in laps of God Almighty in the wee hours of
third of Aug 1993 at 37 years of age. This is my last manifestation on mother earth... 8.4 millionth
manifestation!
Nowhere to go further, moment I leave my mortal frame... I shall attain moksha
salvation forever! I can vouch with dignity that human beings world over must never develop a feeling of contempt
for teachings contained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism. All teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita had universal
appeal. One need not convert to Hinduism to learn intricacies of spiritual path. Remaining within confines of ones
religion, faith or belief... one can also follow teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita to reach cosmic goal of life,
stage of absolute purity! We can do it if we really want to. We only need bulldog determination exhibited by Swami
Vivekananda.
