Bhagavad Gita Chapter 2 Verse 8 
न हि प्रपश्यामि ममापनुद्याद् यच्छोकमुच्छोषणमिन्द्रियाणाम् ।
na hi prapashyami mamapanudyad Transliteration If by killing enemies in the battlefield... Arjuna was granted a seat in swarga (heaven); this would also not be reason enough for leading a happy life on mother earth. Nothing on mother earth or swarga (heaven) could sway determination of Arjuna of not fighting battle with his beloved maternal grandfather Bhishma Pitamah and guru Dronacharya. For Arjuna, entire clan of Kauravas consisting of his close relatives and friends
were sacrosanct. For no reason or rhyme he was prepared to face the enemy head-on. This clumsiness, cowardice of
Arjuna was apparent to Krishna all the time. To come out unscathed of this situation, Krishna advised Arjuna again
and again to fight this battle of dharma (righteousness). Arjuna badly wanted advice from Krishna, a balm at a time when all his senses and mind did not provide the required solace. No matter what the advice from Krishna... Arjuna was totally grief stricken. No amount of persuasion from Krishna helped Arjuna in getting out of this precarious situation. Arjuna was bleeding internally. He was really upset from within. He wanted to play a fair game with his arch enemies Kauravas... yet travelling path of dharma (righteousness) seemed a remote possibility. When Krishna repeatedly told Arjuna that it was not a fight between clan of Kauravas and Pandavas... but a fight to re-establish dharma (righteousness) against evil forces of adharma (lawlessness)... still, Arjuna felt unperturbed! The feelings of Moha (extreme emotional attachment) towards his brethren in enemy camp proved
costly. Arjuna was giving more importance to Moha than Dharma (righteousness). This was the cause of extreme grief
experienced by Arjuna, and he failed to realize that earthly bondages never gave permanent happiness in life. Moha, earthly bondages were part of physical manifest life. They had nothing to do
with spiritual path that directly led to God Almighty. If we were to realize god in present life, we had to cut
across all linkages of earthly life forever. Karma could never be negated to zero, if a single trace of Moha
(extreme emotional attachment) exists within us. Coming out of vicious circle of Moha was extremely difficult in
practice but for a serious spiritual seeker... nothing was impossible! Cutting earthly ties was not an easy thing. Our parents... dear brothers and sisters, close relatives and friends with whom we spent our life... how we could abandon all the ties to proceed on irreversible journey towards god. Path towards god was always one-sided. Once started... we could never revert back to daily routines of life. Before proceeding on journey towards god we had to be doubly sure of our intentions, desires, wishes... and finally absolute goal of life! Only those with a bulldog determination like Swami Vivekananda must undertake
spiritual journey by cutting across family ties forever. No matter what our intentions, ties of family life always pulled us towards material world. This happened with Maharishi Ramana when his mother tried to stop him from going spiritual. Siddhartha Gautama also experienced the same when his parents took extreme care that elderly people did not come in contact with Siddhartha Gautama, one who had already exhibited spiritual inclinations. A true serious seeker of spirituality always was unstoppable. But when Arjuna faced
his relatives and friends in the enemy camp... Moha took hold of him. He thought... no worldly possession or
attraction of swarga (heaven) could distract him from his family ties. He became disturbed internally as a soul
atman, the spirit within was all the time prompting him to follow path of dharma (righteousness) against evil
forces of adharma (lawlessness). We can reject promptings of our soul atman, the spirit within intermittently for shorter periods of time but not for long. Finally Lord Krishna... our soul atman, the spirit within comes to our rescue! As our ultimate goal of life was reaching god in present life... we just could not survive without spiritual inclinations! Finally Arjuna succumbs to dictates of Lord Krishna. He agrees to fight battle of dharma (righteousness) to root out adharma (lawlessness) forever. For a serious seeker of spirituality... cutting across bondages of Moha is a very
important step. It takes time... not days, months but many years before one finally overcomes attraction of earthly
ties. Once overcome... all grief vanishes overnight! At this stage of life... a serious seeker of spirituality must
always remember that karma could never be left midway as did Siddhartha Gautama. By simply touching feet of wife
and children we never scuttled karma forever. Karma needs to be burnt to zero, before we succeed in full awakening of Kundalini Shakti, the coiled Serpentine energy lying dormant in base of spine. Negating karma to zero also means reaching stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi (stage of absolute nothingness)... when not a single thought entered our brain uninvoked. Bhagavad Gita chapter 2 verse 1 is reflective of power of dharma (righteousness) over powers of Moha (extreme emotional attachment). When Dharmaraja (Lord Krishna himself) was on our side... was there a cause for worry! In spiritual allegory, Lord Krishna denotes presence of God Almighty within us in
miniscule form as our soul atman, the spirit within! As per spiritual dichotomy... no serious traveler of spiritual
path could ever reject dictates of our soul atman, the spirit within! If we are to reach god in present life... we
have to recognize presence of this soul atman, the spirit within in us. It is prompted by this Lord Krishna all the
time... human beings finally reached God. Throughout Srimad Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna says... I am always there for you all the time. Beseeched by bondages of earthly manifest life human beings failed to recognize this godly entity that exists within us in miniscule form as our soul atman, the spirit within! Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita has lot to convey but not literally. The teachings of Bhagavad Gita demand contemplation all the time. No matter how many times we read Bhagavad Gita... nothing ever becomes clear by giving a literal reading! We have to reach the underlying inner meaning to reach god in our lifetime. There was never a shortcut path to God Almighty. I distinctly remember when came the time to cut family ties forever... I finally
asked my mother for leave at 15 years of age. The subject was delicate but my mother gave a patient hearing. No
sooner I exhausted my dialogues... she said, over my dead body! The moment you leave this house forever, she
blurted... I would go to adjoining Ganges canal and jump. Not for a moment I blinked. I immediately replied back...
until you give permission, I shall not leave this house ever! I was slightly disheartened, taken aback but this was
how god made family ties... especially with mother! She told me... to continue pursuing spiritual goal of life
while remaining in family. Further 22 years of yoga meditation... I finally reached god in wee hours of third
of Aug 1993 at 37 years of age. This is my last manifestation on mother earth. Having reached 8.4 millionth
manifestation... I have nothing further to achieve in this cosmic world! As a human being I have finally reached
ultimate goal of human life on mother earth. Moment I leave my mortal frame... I shall but attain salvation moksha
