To cut short dilemma of
Arjuna, Lord Krishna exemplifies power of a soul atman, the spirit within! As Arjuna was not prepared to fight
his enemy, his beloved maternal grandfather Bhishma Pitamah and Guru Dronacharya... Lord Krishna admonishes
Arjuna by telling him that in cosmic domain... only souls' atmans were immortal,
indestructible!
It was because of unmanifest souls' atmans within... the manifest came into being!
In absence of world of souls' atmans... the manifest world simply could not exist! Whatever human beings perceived
in this world including galaxies and universes, all manifested because of collective power of souls atmans in
entire cosmos. Our soul atman was immortal, not the manifest human body! After death of human form... the manifest
decays forever!
As per Lord Krishna, nothing in cosmos could result in destruction of souls'
atmans. They were imperishable; unchangeable... could neither be created or destroyed! Souls' atmans pervade every
part of cosmos... no matter how small or insignificant! As per Lord Krishna souls atmans existed even before start
of cosmos and would also continue to exist after occurrence of Pralaya (dissolution of entire cosmos). Nothing in
cosmos could change this status of souls' atmans.
Stated in simpler words... even God Almighty could not change a soul atman! Why? As
per Lord Krishna if an individual grain of sand is an independent soul atman... the whole mound God Almighty! If an
individual piece of puzzle is an independent soul atman... the completed puzzle God Almighty! The collective power
of all souls’ atmans in cosmos in their pure form is what we called God Almighty in all its glory (Brahman in
Hinduism).
God Almighty, the world of souls' atmans exists from times immemorial and would continue to
do so until Pralaya occurred (dissolution of entire cosmos)!
The Explanation:

Lord Krishna asks Arjuna to move from
unreality to reality... from manifest to unmanifest! As per Lord Krishna every soul atman manifested body after
body but itself was unchangeable. The body perishes with time but not the soul atman within. Change was lifeline of
manifest world but in world of souls' atmans nothing ever changes. There was never a decline in souls' atmans.
Krishna asks Arjuna to fight this just battle of dharma (righteousness) to root out evil from society forever. By
killing moha (attachment), sense and sense objects... Arjuna can definitely achieve the seemingly
unachievable!
The consciousness that exists within us was our soul atman, the spirit within
residing in our heart! It was distinct from material body. It was only because of senses and mind we perceived only
the manifest world. For going beyond the manifest... our indulgence in sacred scriptures was necessitated. Lord
Krishna was charioteer of Arjuna. Lord Krishna in spiritual analogy stood for our soul atman, the spirit within! By
adhering to promptings of our soul atman... we can easily cross ocean of Samsara (worldly life) to reach God. By
following teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita, any human being world over could easily reach stage of
enlightenment forever.
Lord Krishna as our inner self seems misleading. But spiritual facts of life
detailed in Bhagavad Gita could never be belied by one. Various Upanishads also confirm this essentiality of life.
The guidance of Lord Krishna was all the time available to mankind in form of our soul atman, the spirit within! If
we truly desired reaching god in present life... we could definitely do it by following path of contemplation, path
of self enquiry (Neti... not this, not this) as preached and advocated by Maharishi Ramana... one who reached god
in his lifetime! We can do it if we truly want to. When our soul atman, the spirit within was all powerful... where
was the cause for any worry?
The best part in the life of human beings was... no matter how small or rich a
human being was... the cosmic wisdom of Bhagavad Gita was available to one and all in form of our soul atman, the
spirit within residing in our heart. We only need to be truthful... to reach absolute truth! The entire teachings
of Bhagavad Gita were dedicated to mankind... making it easier for one and all to reach stage of enlightenment and
finally moksha salvation in ones lifetime. In the literal world... the subjective teachings of Bhagavad Gita were
available to mankind for mere rupees 6/= ($.10) and a copy of the same can be had from Gita press, Gorakhpur,
India.
The original teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita with English
transliteration were available for mere rupees 40/= ($.60) from Gita press, Gorakhpur, India.
We need to understand that teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita and various other
scriptures of Hinduism could never be understood literally... all demand reading in between the lines! It was only
following path of contemplation human beings finally reached god in their lifetime. There was never a shortcut path
to our true inner self... our soul atman, the spirit within! We can have it all by diving deep into the bottomless
pit of jnana wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads of Hinduism. The indomitable will exhibited by Swami
Vivekananda was the only necessity to reach God in present times.
