Through Bhagavad Gita chapter 2 verse 52 Lord Srikrishna highlights to Arjuna the biggest impediment on
path of pure spirituality... Moha (extreme emotional attachment) towards loved ones! Even in battle of
Mahabharata (dharma yuddha), Moha (extreme emotional attachment) demonstrated by Arjuna seemed the biggest
hurdle in waging war against evil Kauravas. In times of need, in times of tribulation, strife... waging war of
dharma (righteousness) was the call of day! Still, Arjuna was hesitant to start the war, due to his Moha
(extreme emotional attachment) towards his maternal grandfather Bhishma Pitamah and guru Dronacharya. Dharma
yuddha (war of righteousness) was never wanting.
As detailed by Lord Krishna to Arjuna... he was duty-bound to fight this war of
dharma (righteousness)! On path of pure spirituality, when a seeker decides to go in search of god, his biggest
dilemma arose when confronted with bondages of earthly life. It was difficult to kill our relationship forever with
parents, brothers and sisters... close relatives and friends! On path of pure spirituality all earthly
relationships always come to roost! For a spiritual traveler... the whole world finally becomes one large family!
Cutting across shackles of Moha (extreme emotional attachment) needs bulldog determination, the willpower exhibited
by Maharishi Ramana and Swami Vivekananda!
Both these spiritual stalwarts left their family midway in search of god. Yet,
their decision was not wrong! Maharishi Ramana reached god in his lifetime. Swami Vivekananda refused point blank
to his spiritual master Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa to gain enlightenment in his lifetime. When Sri Ramakrishna
Paramhansa asked Swami Vivekananda why he had come to him if the goal of his life was not gaining enlightenment,
Swami Vivekananda politely replied... he only wanted to confirm presence of God! Swami Vivekananda could have
easily gained enlightenment in his lifetime if he truly wanted to. Cutting earthly ties truly was heart-wrenching,
heartrending.
In geeta chapter 2 verse 52 Sri Krishna tells Arjuna that if he succeeds in
overpowering Moha (extreme emotional attachment) forever, then he would easily cross ocean of Samsara (worldly
life) by developing feelings of dispassion, detachment towards earthly goals of life. Total detachment from worldly
affairs was necessitated to successfully travel path of spirituality. For overpowering five senses and mind, our
controlling forces of Moha (extreme emotional attachment) were mandated by God Almighty. In the present
materialistic age most human beings world over feel helplessness in overpowering Moha. Such human beings ultimately
failed to travel path of spirituality and preferred travelling path of religion (path of rituals) that was easy to
travel but never led one to God Almighty.
Apart from controlling Moha, controlling five senses and mind was another hurdle on
path of pure spirituality. Lord Krishna tells Arjuna that moment one succeeds in controlling Moha; one would
develop complete aversion towards material goals of life. One would finally learn to discriminate truth from false.
Teachings, experiences one had gone through and those yet to be learnt or experienced... a seeker would finally
learn to distinguish between necessary and frivolous acts. Going to a temple, church or mosque for the sake of
it... one would develop aversion towards such rituals forever! A true seeker would henceforth never indulge in an
act that did not lead to God Almighty.
One would effectively use power of discrimination to distinguish precepts that were
necessary to reach god from those that were unnecessary, unwarranted, uncalled for!
The Explanation

In
Bhagavad Gita chapter 2 verse 52 Lord Krishna outlines the fallacy of travelling path of religion (path of
rituals)! When a human being, a traveler of spiritual path succeeds in cutting across shackles of Moha (extreme
emotional attachment)... one clearly identifies false preaching by religious preachers of present times. A true
seeker of spirituality can see through false promises made by religious preachers.
One who wants to reach god in present life clearly understands that religious
dogmas like going to swarga (heaven) after death carried no meaning in spiritual world. Such pretences of religious
world were clear expression of ignorance expressed by religious fraternity. How long would we continue believing
that after death of mortal frame... going to swarga (heaven) was the highest goal of life?
Lord Krishna in bhagavad gita 2 52 makes it abundantly clear that path to God
Almighty was straight and clear. Everything comes from within. By following dictates of soul atman within... any
human being world over could easily cross ocean of Samsara (worldly life) by cutting shackles of Moha forever. For
believing in our true self... our soul atman, the spirit within... we truly do not require preaching of others! Our
soul atman, the spirit within always guided us on right path.
Since six years of age... I followed dictates of my soul atman coming from within
my heart! The moment I was able to discriminate right from wrong... I stopped going to temples, churches and
mosques! I believed more in god existing in my heart than one existing in temples! I was never proved wrong in my
surmise. All my life I could distinctly hear the sweet small inner voice of my soul atman coming from within.
Guided by voice of my soul atman... I finally reached God in 1993 at 37 years of age!
All the clutter existing in our thought process can only be drained by exercising
power of discrimination, path of contemplation... path of logistics! I have seen people fearing indulgence in path
of discrimination, contemplation and logistics! This inbuilt fear stemmed from half baked preaching of so-called
religious preachers of present Kali Yuga... Dark Age, metal age! Exercising power of discrimination... I could
easily read the hidden agenda of religious preachers of present times.
Leaving aside all that was crap... I started my journey towards god with full faith
in God Almighty! All my life I never referred to teachings by any religious preacher or master... not even for
once! Why believe in something that went against established principles of spirituality detailed in Srimad Bhagavad
Gita. I have always exercised power of discrimination, power of logistics to my best use all the time. So much so
that I finally succeeded in reaching god in present life!
Developing Vairagya (dispassion, detachment) towards material goals of life
initially is difficult but not impossible! It is only power of discrimination, power of logistics that comes to our
rescue all the time! One can exercise power of discrimination, power of logistics in life only if one was truthful
all the time. Practicing truthfulness all the time was the biggest ingredient of spiritual path that most human
beings world over failed to realize. Whole of my life I have practiced truthfulness to the hilt... so much so if
God Almighty himself came disguised to sway me from path of truthfulness... I would have not!
